O’s Notes: Chris Standring composed and produced all of songs on Time of Change, based on the retro groove from the 1970s. He plays guitar and keyboards with a core band including Andre Berry (b), Chad Wright (d), and Lenny Castro (perc). Four tracks on the album are bolstered by a horn section comprised of Brandon Fields (tenor sax), Tom Saviano (alto sax), Michael Stever (trumpet), and Erik Hughes (trombone). The formula works well as they get funky on “Magnetic”, soothing on “Slippin’ In These Streets”, & “Where Were You When”. We also enjoyed “A Good Game”, and “Remember The Day”.
