O’s Notes: Pianist, composer, and arranger Marianne Trudel leads an engaging trio with bassist Rémi-Jean Leblanc and drummer John Hollenbeck on Time Poem, a rather dynamic, inviting session. Leblanc is out front on “Les Vagues”, the fusion laced “Le Reveil des Rivières” and “La Joie De L’épheèmèrè”. Also notable are “L’odeur Des Spain’s” and the darkness of “De La Fragilite D’un Monde”. This trio is more approachable than the duo recording.
