O’s Notes: There is a lot of love in the air when Amikaeyla Gaston and Trelawny Rose team up to sing a tribute to the legendary vocalist Eva Cassidy. Eva was a talented singer who sang folk, jazz, pop and blues. Whatever she sang was done very well but her cross genre approach limited her success before her tragic death to cancer at 33. She has reached much greater fame posthumously. Amikaeyla and Trelawny have been spreading her fame with live performances like this one around the world. They both have excellent voices and do well with Cassidy’s arrangements. You are sure to find at least a few tunes to enjoy on this CD. Our favorites: “Autumn Leaves” and “Prayer For Eva”!
