O’s Notes: Craig Taborn (keyboards), Marcus Gilmore (d, perc), and Nels Cline (g, b) are the Trio of Bloom. This is their self-titled debut with a modern, electric, fusion that stretches your imagination. They play enhanced covers and originals with a lot of character. We liked the energetic “Nightwistlers”, the relaxed “Eye Shadow Eye” featuring Cline, and pacifying “Breath”.
