O’s Notes: This is classic jazz fusion from three of the best in the business: Jaco on bass, John playing guitar and Tony playing drums. The soundstage is very open making it easy to here each musician clearly. While at times the rhythms seem simple, it allows for the stars to shine with explosive solos. Jaco bounces around with McLaughlin sharing the melodies. Williams proves to be the consummate drummer here, supporting the others, adding glue and spicy accents when needed. There are ten songs, seven newly released with half of them recorded in front of a live appreciative audience.
