O’s Notes: Ravish plays the drums and many percussion instruments. He partners with Sam Bardfeld (violin) and Brandon Terzic (oud, effects) to form Trio Tarana. They push the boundaries into free jazz space exploring all possible elements. The core themes are centered on the beats and rhythms of Momin’s drums. “Ragalaya” is a traditional Indian song that features Bardfeld leading the melody. There is a strong Indian influence in their music especially on “What Reward”. It is different, creative and worth a listen.
