O’s Notes: Trumpeter Avishai Cohen leads a trio with Omer Avital on bass and drummer Nasheet Waits. They came together to record this music in a live studio session a few years ago. Introducing Triveni was the first product from that session. This is Triveni II and it wraps the set celebrating the unity among the trio. Four Cohen originals and six rearranged classics kept our interest capped with a stirring arrangement of “Willow Weep For Me”.
