O’s Notes: Steve mates his trombone with the tenor sax of David Sanchez, James Carter and Dewey Redman, each in a different band setting. The results are enjoyable; Latin flavored “Puente of Soul” with Sanchez, swinging with Dewey n classics like “Stompin’ at the Savoy” and warming up with Carter on “The Nearness of You”. They don’t let up making this CD true to it’s title, T-N-T!
