O’s Notes: Tromper Eustache is a collection of dark, eerie tunes performed in a free spirited progressive rock mode. The band is a sextet with Frank Lozano (ts, b cl), Fracnois Bourassa (p), Bernard Falaise (g), Clynton Ryder (b), Pierre Taguay (d) and leader Pierre Labbé on tenor sax. We liked the moving vibe of “Vertige”, more of a moving jazz-fusion and the most embraceable song in the set. It is a tricky, exercise in creativity, much more metal than jazz.
