O’s Notes: We listened to this CD many times before we picked up the pen… it engaged us that much. Roseanna’s voice and phrasing does wonders for these covers. Her musicians are also first rate, anchored by the Trio Da Paz rhythm section: Duduka Da Fonseca (), Nilson Matta (b) and Romero Lubambo (g). Joe Lovano (sax), Don Braden (sax),Chieli Minucci (g) and Cecil Brooks III (d) also make appearances. You will enjoy the soft Brazilian sambas as well as finale, McCoy Tyner’s “In Search of My Heart”.
