O’s Notes: Bassist, composer Gerry Eastman picks up the guitar on Trust Me leading a trio with Greg Lewis (B3) and Taru Alexander (d). They play eight selections with lots of energy and passion, notably “Learn From Your Mistakes”, “Just A Matter of Time”, and “St. Marteen Swing” with a fine drum solo by Alexander. Eastman founded the Williamsburg Music Center in Brooklyn in 1981. You can find him performing there once we get past the pandemic. In the meantime, this is a fine sample of Gerry’s groove.
