O’s Notes: You may not have heard of Bey but when you listen to his soft but dynamic baritone vocals and piano accompaniment, you’ll remember to listen again. Wide range and true tone plus strong support from Ron Carter (b), Peter Washington (b), Steve Turre (tb) and Geri Allen (horn arrangements) make it special. The music is a combination of jazz standards and a couple of Brazilian tracks like “Bridges”. An enjoyable set.
