O’s Notes: It’s hard to imagine that guitarist Albare has been around for over two decades but not for Australians where he has been based for thirty years! We’ve favorably reviewed his last couple of releases and several of the hits are included here. His contemporary jazz formula includes jazz-fusion and vocal tracks. Allan Harris sings “Overjoyed”, Rob Burke plays sax on “After the Rain” and “October Song” features Tony Hicks on sax. There are a wealth of cool riffs with Albare pouring liquid melodies on top as on “Things You Love” and “Journey” both with James Ulove providing complimentary scatting. This is a wonderful collection loaded with hits on 2 discs with great liner notes.
