O’s Notes: The brass is crisp with Dino Govoni (sax) leading the charge. The band is full and most of the songs are engaging. Nojechowicz wrote and produced ten of eleven. The mood shifts from racy to mellow on “Samba de Maya” with vocals from Kim Nazarian. Claudio Rotiti leads the melody on “La Bossa Nove de Claudio” with a buttery smooth flugelhorn. El Eco draws upon the sounds of South America from Chile through Argentina to Brazil incorporating African beats and the bossa nova groove to make a very satisfying session.
