O’s Notes: This duo features the warm sax of Lee Konitz with the more than adequate keyboards of Kenny Werner. Whether it is the carnival atmosphere of “O Gato” or the tranquility of “Baby I’m A Legend”, the music rings. Lee plays like a sculptor, gently carving the notes and shaping the sound. Kenny’s compliments are delicately rich. Together they grace the audience with beautiful music, all eleven songs written by Alain Guyonnet. These tunes were recorded in Geneva early in 1992 but remain contemporary today.
