O’s Notes: This is a unique pairing of a pianist Greg Burk and percussionist Vicente Lebron. Unduality suggests unison and indeed the pair are cohesive throughout. The program is a jazz transformation of classical works using Afro-Caribbean rhythms. That union is sometimes brilliant and sometimes challenging for the listener. But Burk and Lebron are to be commended for their work including several glorious moments in a well-recorded program.
