O’s Notes: They open with a really fresh feel on “Past Reference” using a combination of funky beats from drummer Alfred Sergel, cool bass lines from Zack Page with Lawson playing relaxed piano. They drift to more mid-tempo tunes like “Alone Together” and ballads like “In The Wee Small Hours” for the balance of the session, a mellow set.
