O’s Notes: Vocalist/pianist Dena Derose is a proven, polished entertainer appearing on United with her trio including equally talented bassist Martin Wind and drummer Matt Wilson. Dena added lyrics to Wayne Shorter’s “United” featuring guest trumpeter Ingrid Jensen. Derose also collaborates with Wind on “Simple Song of Love”. The remaining selections are covers of classic tunes. Special guest Peter Bernstein adds guitar to freshen up “Sunny” and “Only The Lonely” helping Dena to give us a satisfying session.
