O’s Notes: Don’t judge this CD but the cover art. Anthony Dixon looks like a sophisticated hip-hop musician with a suit, open collar and white sneakers. But he is neat and clean and his sound is exquisite! This guy has a great voice that he deploys over eleven jazz classics. Dixon sings, scats and swoons with a delightful delivery full of energy and emotion. He’s off to a great start with a great deal of swagger.
