O’s Notes: Jake Baldwin is a first call trumpeter based in the twin cities. He leads a band with guitarist Toivo Hannigan, bassist Cody McKinney, and Adam Harder Nussbaum on drums. We were intrigued by the eerie sounds on “Phantasm” and the racy “Orb”. They seek solace on “Meditation”, one of many introspective songs on Vanishing Point.
