O’s Notes: Tigger Benford is a master percussionist, educator and writer of music for dance. He assembled an array of similar mixed musicians in the NYC area to produce Vessel of Gratitude. The music is rather eclectic with sounds coming from a wide array of hand drums, percussion, violin, tabla, oud and marimba. “One Chicken Too Many” is one of the best along with “Emil Is In The House”. Benford gives us a taste of high quality world jazz emanating from the Big Apple!
