O’s Notes: We enjoyed the beauty of Uptown Vocal Jazz Quartet in 2012 and we were happy to receive their latest release. Once again Ginny Carr, Robert McBride, Holly Shockey and André Eneeneat delight us with rich, warm harmonies. Guest Artist Richie Cole adds another dimension on alto sax along with the tight band. Cole composed half of the tunes. Ginny Carr wrote four and collaborated with Cole and Bond on “Tokyo Rose Sings The Blues”. Vocal Madness is a winner!
