O’s Notes: Erich Cawalla and Jenifer Kinder are the featured vocalists in the Uptown Band. The rest of the musicians are Mike Schwartz (g), David Fenwick (p), Lamont Bates (b), Omer Godinét (d) and Robin Church (t). Producer Marty Mellinger plays piano on five songs ad well. A lot of the music is new composed by band members but they also include a few covers notably “Hey There Lonely Girl”. The overall groove is a retro contemporary pop groove with smooth vocals.
