O’s Notes: Betheny’s voice has a childlike delicacy yet it is rich and strong. Each of the songs has a familiarity that results from Dunlap’s heartfelt expression. Her husband Glenn plays the keyboards and shares the production. Frankie Smith (b), Adam White (d) and Charlie White (g) make up the rhythm section and keep the music swinging. The balance between music and vocals is great. While Betheny is definitely out front the band provides the accents that help make it a very good session. We particularly liked “Lifelines” and “Cotton Candy Sky” with warm compliments on guitar by White.
