O’s Notes: Bappi is the Disco King of India having popularized that genre in its heyday. Walking on Love Street is his latest release, a blend of western and Indian contemporary grooves. There are pumping club beats that permeate the entire set. Among the high points are the seriously funky “Light Of The Moon” and the title track courtesy of guest artist Jeff Lorber on keys. We also enjoyed “East and West” a cool acid jazz track with Bappi scatting over a funky mix.
