O’s Notes: Guitarist Mark Doyle is a polished musician from Syracuse NY where he was raised by musical parents. He is mostly a rock-fusion musician and that is reflected on this CD. ‘America Drinks and Goes Home‘ is more of a straight ahead jazz tune and Doyle does it justice, our favorite song of the set. This is the third of his Guitar Noir series:“Watching The Detectives“and he focuses on themes of detectives: ‘Kojak Theme‘, ‘Johnny Staccato‘, ‘Man From U.N.C.L.E.‘ and ‘It Takes A Thief‘. It is throwback music centered on Doyle’s guitar, ready for reminiscing.
