O’s Notes: Drummer, composer, educator Zach Adelman assembles a fine team for his latest release, We Make: Stories For A New Day. The core quintet is Austin Ford (t), Steve Davis (tb), Luther Allison (p), Jared Beckstead-Craan, with Zach (d). Sarah Hahahan (a-sax) plays on seven selections and Steve Wilson (fl, a-sax) plays on the other four, notably “Song For Wedgewood” donning flute. All eleven selections swing in a balanced session.
