O’s Notes: Mina places her seductive vocals on top of club rock and hip-hop beats over thirteen tracks. The effect is rather electrifying especially on “Don’t Look At Me” where she gasps, screams and creates havoc. Mina is performing primarily with just bass (Alex Heeled) and drums (Ichiro Onoe). She occasionally scats and improvises freely. Rob Henke’s trumpet lends towards the jazziest of the set, an interesting twist in the contemporary front.
