O’s Notes: This CD is a winner! It is first class starting with the personnel then the fine writing and orchestration by Holland and finally, an excellent recording by ECM. Among the 13 musicians are Antonio Hart and Chris Potter on sax, Robin Eubanks (tb), Duane Eubanks (t), drummer Billy Kilson and Steve Nelson on vibes. The music swings, soothes and burns. >From the soulful “Blues for C.M.” to the swinging opener, “Triple Dance”.
