O’s Notes: Fred plays a seven- string guitar. On When Winter Comes, he’s given us nine warm and wonderfully relaxing tunes that feel good. This is a trio with Billy Drummond on drums and Steve LaSpina (b) backed but a full string section. It’s more than a big band and it really hits the spot.
