O’s Notes: Myriam is the creative genius behind Where Is There, a question that is quickly answered with thee opening title track. Alter wrote the music and employs a strong team to express her sentiments. Salvatore Bonafede (p), Joey Baron (d), Jaques Morelenbaum (cello), Greg Cohen (b), John Ruicco (cl) and Pierre Vaiana (sax) play from their hearts. The pace is sometimes racy and other times relaxed as on the soothing “Come With Me”. Most of the songs are slower but the infusion of Latin rhythms makes things come alive. Among the best are “I’m Telling You” and “It Could Be There”.
