O’s Notes: Malavet is a cabaret style singer with a flare for the dramatic. He was born and raised in New York and has experienced his dream as a singer/actor in the theater. This is his debut recording and it shows a lot of potential. He can lean on his Latin roots as on “Inolvidable” or croon from the songbooks a la Sinatra – “Time After Time”. He does well on both fronts and is quickly establishing himself along side some of the best of today’s young jazz singers.
