O’s Notes: Marguerite sings nine bluesy tunes reflecting on life’s lessons about love, happiness and adventure. There is a good selection of songs that convey her thoughts as she reflected in the liner notes. There is fine accompaniment by Chico Freeman (sax) and Curtis Robinson (g) on “Love Dance”. Marguerite is her best when she sings the blues on the title track, “Goin’ to Chicago” and “Trying Times”.
