O’s Notes: Jaclyn has a soft gentle voice that blends well with her band, a strong unit that shines. Guillou lyrics are well-articulated, almost spoken with true tone. Her music is mostly original, contemporary jazz that grows on you highlighted by “Land of the Silver Birch” and “Spring”. There’s nothing over the top and nothing coming up too short either making Winter For Beginners a solid effort.
