O’s Notes: This Finnish trio features drummer Klaus Suonsaari with Juhani Aaltonen on tenor sax and Mikko Iivanainen playing guitar. They play nine songs, mostly originals that are very open and adventurous. It’s a free fusion played well within the speed limits. Most of the music has dark blue tones. Among the best tracks are “Passion” and Thad Jones’ “All My Yesterdays” both led by Juhani. These are also the most accessible tunes in a sea of wonder.
