O’s Notes: Guitarist, composer Aleksi Glick leads band centered around the rhythm section including bassist Jeff Koch and Nathan Ellman-Bell on drums with a few special guests sprinkled in along the way. Laureana opens the set singing “She Told Me”. She’s back again singing “Leaving LA” and perhaps her best “Nordic Bossa”. Adam Ahuja adds keys on four selections, and Eric Trudeau plays sax on “We’re Getting There” that includes all six musicians. While Glick’s debut recording was more traditional, this take features both contemporary pop, blues, jazz fusion, along with some traditional modern jazz select.
