O’s Notes: We’re diggin’ some smoking work on the B3 by Jamie Saft with Steve Swallow working his bass and a lot of sizzle from drummer Bobby Previte. They are the trio featured on You Don’t Know The Life. It’s another eclectic recording from Rare Noise Records, the label that pushes the envelope. From the eerie sounds of “Dark Squares” to reflective ballads like the title track, this trio delivers riveting, tight compositions. Other highlights are Previte’s opening on “Ode To A Green Frisbee” and the enticing solitude on “The Break Of The Flat Land”.
