O’s Notes: Cathy is a swingin’ jazz singer. We found out quickly on “Autumn Leaves” that she has no trouble keeping up with her polished band, even when the full Vienna Symphonic Orchestra steps in. Her voice is deep and rich with a tight range. Rocco does a nice job on “I Never Went Away” and on the blues of “Little By Little” alongside guitarist Michael Higgins, Dave Carpenter (b) and Kuno Schmid (p) who contribute excellent solos. We also liked “Tea For Two” and “Hello Like Before” with the strings giving us of a hint of Nancy Wilson.
