O’s Notes: Ernest “Skillet” Mayhand and Leroy “Sloppy” Daniels were a pair of the funniest comedians on the Black comedy circuit during the 1960s. LaWanda Page who played “Aunt Esther” on Sanford and Son joins them for 2 or 3 Times A Day. The shock value of their tales made you laugh. It is off-color humor that helped ease the tension of the times.
