O’s Notes: This quintet features Miguel Zenon (as), Rick Germanson (p), Hans Glawischnig (b), Neal Smith (d) and leader Lynch on trumpet. Brian is crisp and well placed throughout the set. The band has spent a lot of time together and the results are seamless changes and a great familiarity with each other. Lynch wrote three of the tunes but Hans, Brian and Rick also contribute songs along with several covers. Among the best are “Who Loves You Better”, “Game Theory” and the upbeat opener “210 Centre St.”.
