O’s Notes: This is the follow-up to Charlie Dennard’s well-received journey From Brazil to New Orleans (4/4). Charlie plays all keyboards with guitarist Todd Duke and either Doug Belote or Geoff Clapp on drums. Dennard penned seven of the ten selections. The groove is a funky, cool jazz in the traditional B3 trio format with a few blues tunes blended into the mix, notably “Blues By Five”. There is a lot to like here in yet another winning production from 5 O’Clock Charlie!
