O’s Notes: In the 1970s jazz flute was synonymous with Hubert Laws. He helped palletize jazz for a contemporary audience with rich smooth melodies and improvisation that was easily embraced. You’ll hear some of his prime work here including “Let Her Go” and “Where is The Love” both with strings. Bob James (p), Ron Carter (b) and Billy Cobham (d) are among the fine accompanying musicians.
