O’s Notes: Pianist Antonio Adolfo puts together a collection of Brazilian music focused on Choro and Baião. These Brazilian music forms were influenced by European classical music and the Iberian Peninsula respectively. Gunga and Chico Barque wrote much of the music with three complimentary Adolfo originals. Carol Saboya adds vocals on two selections notably “A Ostra e O Vento” that includes a warm guitar solo by Leo Amuedo. This is an engaging session that is easy to enjoy start to finish.
