O’s Notes: Castaneda plays the harp and extracts sounds that will blow your mind! His melodies are funky, Latin jazz incorporating a percussive attack while capturing the rich tones from the instrument. He enlists support from guest artist Gonzalo Rubalcaba (p) for two songs notably the opening title track. Miguel Zenon also adds sax on two selections with Hamilton de Holanda playing mandolin on Piazolla’s “Libertango”, the sole cover. The other five tracks are solo harp but rich and vibrant filling the sound stage.
