O’s Notes: Charlie plays a seven-string guitar and Scott plays the drums. Together they play the blues, ten selections that are true to the title: Not Getting Behind Is The New Getting Ahead. While the songs are all instrumentals, the music mirrors the mood. “Rust Belt”, “Ghost Mall”, “Those Desks Aren’t Going to Clean Themselves” and the title track are prime examples. You would never guess there are only two cats playing here, a testament to their musicianship. Hunter wrote all of the songs and we applauded him for bringing us into his zone!
