O’s Notes: Chicago based saxophonist Chris Greene is back with a 2-disc effort titled Music Appreciation. His quartet includes Damian Espinosa (p), Marc Piane (b) and Steve Corley (d), a team that has been together for years. The program includes originals by each of the band members along with several covers. Greene creates a jazz landscape that is easily embraced by a wide audience. Highlights on this outing are “Papuera”, “The Moose Is Loose”, “Equinox” and “Firecracker”. There is also a bonus track at the end of disc 2!
