O’s Notes: Salena has soulful, warm vocal tones with good expression. She sounded good on the headphones and great in the studio! The Toronto-based vocalist sings in from of pianist Bill King on the 3rd release in the Slaight Music/7 Arts Entertainment signature series of duets with King and vocalists. She soars over a dozen classics including “A House Is Not A Home”, “Exhale”, “Good Morning Heartache” and “Midnight Train To Georgia”. We also enjoyed the harmonized duet with John McDermott on “You Just Can’t Smile It Away”.
