O’s Notes: John Korbel is a singer and songwriter who combines pop, Latin, country and contemporary jazz in a way that makes his music unique and easily accessible. Bassist/producer Art Ward, Chris West (horns), Joe Davidian (keyboards), James DeSilva (g) and Marcus Finnie (d) provide ample support. Korbel’s voice is slightly gruff tempered by Skye Claire’s background vocals. The band surrounds him with just the right mix especially on the title track. There are five tunes totaling ~22 minutes of enjoyment with no throwaways.
