O’s Notes: Vocalist Yolanda Nash is a hopeless romantic singing nine ballads in several styles. She wrote the music and lyrics for most of the songs and employs world class musicians including Fella Cederbaum (spoken word), Alex Meixner (accordion), Graham Keir (g) and co-producer Edsel Gomez (p). There’s a touch of Eastern European music owed to Nash’s Polish heritage mixed with the jazzy Latin vibe. We liked the calypso vibe on “Still Love You”, the Mediterranean groove of “World on Fire”, and “Truth Tango”.
