O’s Notes: Drummer George Coleman, Jr. leads a sextet with Mike DiRubbo (a-sax), Brian Charette (organ), Paul Bollenback (g), Danny Sadownick (perc), Richard Livingston Huntley (d), and special guest George Coleman, Sr. (t-sax). These guys are cooking with an R&B groove that swings. It is centered around polished musicians playing at peak performance. We especially enjoy the shared guitar/sax, melodies on songs like “Choppy” and “Little Green Men”.
